The Shelly Wave 1PM Mini is a single-channel relay with power metering, shrunk down small enough to fit behind almost any switch or socket. Shelly states it's 35% smaller than the standard Wave 1PM. It runs on Z-Wave 800-series silicon rather than Wi-Fi.
Being Z-Wave means it does not connect to the Shelly app directly and needs a Z-Wave controller. Home Assistant with a Z-Wave stick, SmartThings (via the Shelly Wave edge driver), Fibaro, Homey and others are confirmed compatible. This isn't a compromise; it's how Z-Wave mesh networking is designed to work, and it buys a dedicated low-power mesh radio that doesn't compete with the household Wi-Fi.
Ratings are modest but typical for the mini form factor: 8 A / 2000 W switching, with power metering built in so you can see what the load draws, not just switch it. This is the ANZ-specific variant (part number QMSW-0A1P8AU), operating on the 919.8 MHz band used in Australia and New Zealand.
