About this product
The Shelly Wave Shutter drives roller shutters, awnings and blinds with full bi-directional motor control, including venetian slat-angle positioning. Tilt the slats to a set angle, not just fully open or closed. It's rated 10 A per channel with power metering (watts and kWh), and it repeats the Z-Wave signal for other mesh devices nearby.
Like every Z-Wave device, it needs a separate Z-Wave controller or hub already on the network, which is normal for the protocol, not a defect. Shelly names Home Assistant, Fibaro, Homey, SmartThings (via the Shelly Wave edge driver), Vera/Ezlo and Cozify as compatible gateway platforms, with full slat-position support on the strongest of those (Home Assistant, Fibaro, Homey, Vera/Ezlo, Cozify) and partial support (no slat reporting) on SmartThings and some Homee Cube configurations.
