Roller shutter on the phone, but the motor is already wired to a wall switch?
Set the Shelly 2PM Gen4 to cover mode and put the motor's up and down lines on the 2 outputs, with the existing switch on the inputs. The wall switch keeps working, the app adds position control and schedules, and power monitoring finds the end stops. Diagram: Shelly.

Customer wants the light on their phone, but the wall switch has to keep working?
The Shelly 2PM Gen4 sits behind the existing switch. The switch still turns the light on and off as it always did, and the app, voice and schedules work on top of it. No new switch plate, no extra cabling. Diagram: Shelly.

2 lights, 2 switches, and only room for 1 device?
In switch mode the Shelly 2PM Gen4 runs 2 independent circuits, each with its own wall switch on its own input. 1 device does the work of 2. Diagram: Shelly.

Want to switch a load and see exactly what it costs to run?
Wire the load through the Shelly 2PM Gen4 output and the built-in meter reports watts and kWh in the app. Hot water elements, pool pumps and heaters are the usual suspects. Schedules run it in cheap tariff hours. Diagram: Shelly.

Shutter control from a 2-gang momentary switch?
The same cover-mode wiring with 1 button per direction on each Shelly 2PM Gen4 input. Electrical interlock means both outputs can never be live at once, which protects the motor. Diagram: Shelly.

2 shutters that always move together: 1 device?
Drive 2 motors from the one Shelly 2PM Gen4 in cover mode. Both go up and down together from the one switch and the one app tile, which suits a pair of windows in the same room. Diagram: Shelly.

4 push-buttons for 2 circuits in an apartment?
Each Shelly 2PM Gen4 channel takes 2 buttons in parallel on its input, so 4 buttons control 2 lights from 1 device, with no impulse relays. Diagram: Shelly.

Reversing a 24 V DC motor for an awning, gate or skylight?
The Shelly 2PM Gen4 outputs are wired to reverse polarity, so 1 channel drives forward and the other drives back, with the same interlock as a shutter. Diagram: Shelly.
Key features
2 circuits or 1 shutter motor: independent per-channel control and metering, or cover mode with position and slat-angle control.
Multiprotocol from the factory: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter built in, working out of the box.
Apple Home and Siri: control via the Apple Home app or Siri through Matter.
Per-channel power metering: see what each circuit costs to run, even in dual-light setups.
Zigbee and Wi-Fi range extension: strengthens the mesh for other nearby devices.
No hub required: full local control, scripting and scheduling through the built-in web interface.
Know the limits: 10 A per channel, 16 A total (18 A peak); neutral required.

About this product
The Shelly 2PM Gen4 controls 2 independent circuits, or switches to cover mode to run a single bi-directional shutter, blind, curtain or awning motor with full position and venetian slat-angle control. Power metering is per-channel, so each circuit's consumption is tracked separately even when both are running from the same module.
Gen4 brings genuine multiprotocol hardware: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter are all supported out of the box, with Apple Home app and Siri control through Matter. A step up from the Gen3 sibling, where Matter needed a firmware update. It still fits behind existing wall plates and sockets, keeping physical switches functional.
Ratings carry over closely from the Gen3 2PM: 10 A per channel, 16 A total (18 A total peak), with the same scripting, webhook, MQTT and KNXnet/IP support running locally with no hub required.
Model: S4SW-002P16EU
Retrofits behind existing double switches or shutter controls: licensed electrician required; neutral needed.
