About this product
Homey Pro mini is the smaller, wired member of the Homey family. It carries Zigbee 3.0, Thread (as a border router) and Matter 1.5, and it connects to your network by Gigabit Ethernet. It has no Wi-Fi, no Bluetooth, no Z-Wave, no infrared and no 433 MHz radio. If you need those, add a Homey Bridge, which also acts as a Zigbee and Z-Wave range extender.
It runs the same Homey software as Homey Pro: Flows for automation, Advanced Flow for bigger setups, Homey Energy for solar, battery, grid and per-device figures, and the same app store. With 1 GB of RAM it is suited to 20 to 25 apps, which covers most homes.
In an Ohmly™ energy setup the mini is the controller: a Shelly EM or Pro 3EM at the switchboard measures, Shelly relays switch, and Homey Energy schedules. Shelly devices join over Wi-Fi through your router, so the mini's lack of Wi-Fi is not a limit for them.
It replaces a Zigbee bridge, a Thread border router and a Matter controller with 1 small box. Plug in the Ethernet cable and the USB-C power, open the Homey app, and it is set up in minutes. No electrician.

Plug the Ethernet cable into Homey Pro mini and a spare port on your router. Plug the USB-C cable into the hub and the power adapter, then into a power point. Go to setup.homey.app on your phone and follow the setup. No electrician required.
