About this product
The Eve Door & Window reports the open/closed state of any door or window the moment it changes. The sensor body mounts on the frame and the magnet on the moving edge. Adhesive or screw mount, no wiring. From there it drives automations (hall light on when the front door opens), sends activity notifications, and shows the current state in your platform's app. Apple Home users also get time and duration statistics in the free Eve app.
Platform support differs, and it matters: Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant support open/closed status, notifications and automations in full. Google Home does not: it is limited to notifications and remote access, with no open/closed status and no automations.
Power is a single replaceable ½ AA (ER14250) battery, so there is nothing to wire and nothing to recharge. It connects over Thread and needs a Matter controller with a Thread border router. No Eve cloud, no registration, no tracking.
